Gift Aid

You can assist us to fund raise just by shopping at the CooP and using a Partner Card. If you already have a Co-op Dividend card you can elect to have your dividend paid direct to Chapelhall Scout Group instead. The Group can then exchange the dividend vouchers it receives for cash and use it to benefit the members of the Beavers, Cubs or Scouts. If you already have a Co-op dividend card call this number 0845 090 1456 and ask for your dividend to be transferred to Chapelhall Scout Group. Our card number is 633174 02031 664392 9 . If you don’t have a Co-op dividend card please ask for a Dividend form at the Co-op counter or the next time you speak to a Scout Leader. When filling in the form please write Chapelhall Scout Group in the Partner Card space and 02031 664392 9 in the space available for the number.

If you pay tax, Gift Aid is a scheme by which you can pay subscription fees or give a sum of money to the Scouts and Chapelhall Scouts can reclaim from the Inland Revenue basic rate tax on your subscription or gift. That increases the value of the subscription or gift you make to Chapelhall Scouts. For example, if you give £10 using Gift Aid, that gift is worth £12.82 to the Scouts. Roughly speaking if you pay subscription fees of £40 per year this would translate to approximately £51.28 after Gift Aid: a possible income from the tax man of over £650 per year. Its not every day you get money from the Tax Man!!! If you do not pay tax, you should not use Gift Aid.
