Parents and guardians shared in the experience of camping and took in activities such as wall climbing, abseiling, crate climbing, wide games, cooking outdoors etc. Just the sort of thing we always wanted to do when we were a kids (unless you were a Scout of course, 'cos that's what you did do). As usual the staff team at Fordell Firs bent over backwards to make the weekend special. |

The
Beaver Scouts (6yr – 8yr) will meet
The
Scouts (10yr – 14yr) will meet in
| This
has been a real success story. A group of parents got together to set up
Beaver Colony for their sons and daughters aged 6yr – 8 yr. The demand
through word of mouth demonstrated that there was a need for activities
across the age ranges. From nothing, the Chapelhall Scout Group now has
26 Beaver Scouts, 16 Cub Scouts, and 18 Scouts. To run the Scout Group
there are now 14 adult leaders, all of whom have been vetted by the
Scout Association and subject to an enhanced Disclosure Scotland check.
At the end of April 2004 we will see a mass investiture of
Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. Normally this would happen with one or two as
they join an established Group.
All Sections of Chapelhall Scout Group are open to all boys and girls living in Chapelhall.
